Albert Russel Erskine became treasurer of Studebaker in 1910. He became first vice president in 1913, and president in 1915. In 1928, as president, Erskine witnessed the greatest sales in the company’s history up to that time. In that same year, he negotiated the Pierce-Arrow-Studebaker merger.
